Joomla! 3.8.0 released

 

Joomla! 3.8.0 open source content management system was released on September 19, 2017.

 

Joomla 3.8 has four basic features :

• New routing system (optimization of links)
• Starting a compatibility layer to guide and go to Joomla 4.0
• Improved installation of sample data
• Support for sodium-PHP encryption system

 

To better understand the new routing system or to improve the site's links, pay attention to the following addresses :

New Router with IDs : /article-categories/26-park-site/28-photo-gallery/72-animals

New Router without IDs : /article-categories/park-site/photo-gallery/animals

 

The first line shows the current path of the link, but the second line shows the new path with the ID, and the third line shows the path without the ID, which can improve your links for SEO, basically in Joomla 3.8 You can publish your content with ID or without ID, this possibility was supposed to be published in Joomla 3.7, but for some reasons this did not happen and we will see it in Joomla 3.8.

 

   In this version, more than 300 things have been improved and 2 security holes have been fixed, which are as follows :

• Core - information disclosure in LDAP authentication plugin (effective from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 3.7.5)
